We have been coming here for the past 2 years so far ,we live so close and so convenient for us . They are super welcoming , friendly. We have gone to this place at least one a week and now we are regulars . Their food is comforting and delicious. Great prices for burritos and carne asada fries !!! Definitely give this place a shot and it is worth it .
You know...I've reviewed this restaurant before and Absolutely eat there whenever we can. Their food is Completely TOP notch! If you haven't noticed, there are Several locations with this Same Name, but in other areas around San Diego City and County. Makes sure you've chosen the Correct location when reviewing. I have been coming to Hilberto's for OVER 40 yrs. There was a separation in the family, but the Santee location has the Original recipes and their Carne Asada Burritos are HUGE! The other locations are owned by a different person, former family. So be careful. I have Never seen ANYONE leave this location with a bad or even less than Happy expression after getting their food, eating, and leaving. I see many of the same cudtomers. But Many, many new ones as well. Please be careful. You could be destroying someones livelihood. Thank you and have a Great day!
My family has been coming here for over 20 years. The service is always friendly, food is fresh and hot, and always delicious! I love the rolled tacos and chicken tacos, but my family also loves their burritos, carne asada, and even enchiladas.
This place never miss! Got tired of gambling with the other taco shops in Santee. Perfect size burritos for one (unless you're a fatty) ..our favorite is the breakfast burrito ...best we ever had and not greasy which is a huge plus. Red sauce Lacks flavor but the spice makes up for it..mix that with the green youre good.
My most favorite breakfast burrito place for several years (since 2005ish until now). Discovered recently how good the machaca plate/burrito is! Highly recommended
I stopped in at Hilbertos Mexican Food Place for the first time. I was amazed at the large selection of Tortas, Tacos, Mexican Dishes and more. I chose the Beef Taco and Beef Burrito plate for only $11.95. The food was absolutely delicious. It came with rice and refried beans as well. If you enjoy juicy beef burritos you definitely came to the right place. The establishment was clean with great customer service. I definitely would eat here again.
First time trying this taco shop today, and I've got to say it's really good and their workers are friendly. :) Ordered a Carne Asada burrito and the meat was so tender and juicy ! I couldn't believe my tastebuds lol. Also added chips and guacamole to my order and the chips were fresh and crunchy. They have a little self serve salsa bar too. Their red salsa and salsa Fresca taste good as well. Just wish it was a little spicier. Other than that, the food is yummy and their customer service is great! I'll definitely be coming back again hahah
